The 2025 High School Football season begins this evening in North Carolina.
In Taylorsville, new Coach Chris Marshall will lead Alexander Central as they host Newton Conover. The Red Devils and the Cougars have not met on the gridiron since 1980. Former AC Offensive Coordinator Matt Wilson begins his 2nd season as Newton-Conover’s coach.
Marshall and Wilson spent years together as Cougar Assistant Coaches.
AC is coming off a 5-6 season while the Devils went 2-8 in 2024.
Kickoff is at 7:30 at Glenn Wilson Field at Cougar Stadium
B86 Radio will have all the action with a special Countdown to Cougar Kickoff going on the air and online at 5:30 !
