Lenoir Woman Sentenced For Trafficking Fentanyl

A Caldwell County woman has been sentenced to prison time in a drug case. 30-year-old Brittany Danielle Hoy of Lenoir, was sentenced to serve at least 90 months in the NC Department of Adult Corrections. Hoy was indicted for earlier in 2026 for trafficking in fentanyl. Her co-defendant, 31-year-old Jonathan David Minton, was sentenced earlier this year and is currently serving a term of 90 months.

The charges stem from the an incident in which a traffic stop was conducted for a moving violation in Lenoir. During the stop, K9 Lesi was deployed and alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted and approximately 26 grams of methamphetamine and 32 grams of fentanyl were located.

The vehicle occupants, Minton and Hoy were charged with various drug offenses. The total narcotics seized in the investigation have a street value of $10,300 according to North Carolina State Drug Guidelines.
