Alexander County Deputies Arrest Three During License Checkpoint

On the evening of July 21, 2025, the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office conducted a license checkpoint at the intersection of Hwy 16 South and Macedonia Church Road. As a result of this operation, three individuals were arrested.

Courtney Michelle Lloyd, 35 from Taylorsville, was charged with:
Possession of firearm by a felon
Simple possession of marijuana
Simple possession of Schedule III controlled substance
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Carrying a concealed weapon

Lloyd was booked into the Alexander County Detention Center under a $15,000 secured bond. Her first court appearance is scheduled for July 28, 2025, in Alexander County District Court.

Christopher Lashone Fox, 33 of Taylorsville, was charged with:
Possession of firearm by a felon
Simple possession of marijuana
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Carrying a concealed weapon

Fox was placed under a $15,000 secured bond, with a first appearance on July 28, 2025, in Alexander County District Court.

Deveion Eugene Johnson, 38 ofHickory, was charged with:
Simple possession of marijuana
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Driving while license revoked.

Johnson was held on a $1,000 secured bond, with a court appearance scheduled for August 18, 2025, in Alexander County District Court.
