Woman Sent To Prison For Child Sex Offense

A Boone woman will serve at least 25 years in prison after a conviction involving a child sex offense.

23-year-old Elizabeth Ann Sanders was convicted by a Watauga County jury of felony Statutory Sexual Offense with a Child by an Adult. The victim was a female who reported the sexual abuse to her therapist in 2017. Sanders, according to court records was a babysitter for the juvenile when the offenses occurred. Sander will serve a minimum of 25 years in prison and a maximum of 31 years.
