Woman Charged With Stealing Vehicle From Parking Lot Of Taylorsville ABC Store

A Statesville woman has been charged by Taylorsville Police after she allegedly stole a vehicle from a local parking lot.

36-year old Stephanie Marie Boyd was detained Thursday evening by the North Wilkesboro Police Department after a vehicle was reported stolen from the parking lot of the Taylorsville ABC store. Taylorsville Police identified Boyd as a suspect and had information that she might be enroute to Wilkes County. Authorities in Wilkes County were alerted to be on the lookout for the vehicle.

Taylorsville Police Officers transported Boyd to the Alexander County Detention Center and charged her with felony larceny of a motor vehicle. She is being held under a secured bond $8,500. Boyd is scheduled for an initial court appearance scheduled for Monday, February 22nd.
