HNI is closing a manufacturing plant in Hickory, affecting approximately 200 employees at the furniture maker. According to MarketWatch, the plant, located on 12th Street Drive NW in Hickory, will close during the first half of 2025, with production consolidated into other facilities in North America.
According to Yahoo!finance, HNI will maintain a commercial presence in Hickory with its HBF brand of workplace furnishings and textile products. HBF’s brand headquarters will remain in Hickory as will its marketing, customer experience, product development, and product engineering employees.
