Woman Booked In Catawba County Jail As Jane Doe Is Now Identified

30-year-old Tabitha Nicole McAnnally of Hickory has been arrested by Hickory Police on charges of fleeing to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, second-degree trespassing, and assault on a government official or employee. The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office also charged McAnnally on a felony warrant as a fugitive awaiting extradition to another state and misdemeanor resisting a public officer.

McAnnally is wanted by authorities in Pell City , Alabama for trafficking dangerous drugs (methamphetamine).

According to documents provided by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office, McAnnally was brought to the Catawba County Detention Facility on July 17 where she was initially untruthful regarding her identity. She was booked into detention under the name Jane Doe. Her true identity was not discovered until July 21 when Officers learned of the outstanding warrant from Alabama.

McAnnally has served federal time in Mississippi for theft of property and vehicle burglary. She was released in March and is also wanted in Mississippi for a parole violation.

McAnnally remains in jail where she is being held without bond on the fugitive warrant.
