Wilkes County Man Just Released From Prison Arrested Again

A Wilkes County man just released from prison is facing charges of assault and kidnapping after reportedly strangling a woman and holding her against her will.

The Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office has charged 33-year old Randy Alan Dillard of the Hays Community with first-degree kidnapping, assault by strangulation, assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill, communicating threats and assault on a female.

Dillard was released from prison in March having been convicted in November 2021 for assaulting a law enforcement officer.

Dillard is being held in the Wilkes County Detention Center under a secured bond of $750,000.
