Two Men Charged With Felony Drug Counts

Two Burke County men are facing felony drug charges after their arrest over the weekend in Catawba County. 64 year old David William Pope and 46 year old Troy Edward Radford, both of Connely Springs were taken into custody Saturday. Pope is charged with possession with intent to sell, manufactor, and deliver methamphetamine along with other drug charges. Radford is charged with felony trafficking in methamphetamine. Radford’s bond is set at $100,000 and Popes bond is $90,000. Both are being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with court appearances scheduled for today in Newton.
