Taylorsville Police were alerted about a stolen vehicle on Wednesday morning.
The vehicle had been reported stolen in Guilford County and was sighted by a Taylorsville Officer. The driver accelerated while traveling Highway 64 east. He proceeded into Iredell County and went off the roadway and crashed near the intersection of Lippard Farm Road.
The driver (lone occupant) was transported to a regional medical facility with undisclosed injuries. The investigation is ongoing with charges pending.
