Registered Sex-Offender Jailed In Alexander County

James Jason Perscola, age 40 of Taylorsville, was arrested by Gaston County Authorities on Thursday,March 2nd. He was served an arrest warrant filed by Taylorsville Police for violating his sex-offender status by being on child premises.

Perscola is on the sex-offender registry following a 2018 Caldwell County conviction for sexual activity by a substitute parent or custodian. He was given 24 month to 89 months (suspended) and granted 60 months probation. He was also arrested for the same offense on February 9th by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office.

Perscola is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $150,000. A court appearance is scheduled for today.
