The Principal of Maiden High School has announced his resignation. Catawba County Schools Announced the “Principal Transition at Maiden High School” in a news release today on Wednesday.
Catawba County Schools confirmed that Brian Hefner resigned as principal of Maiden High School effective Thursday, September 24) Assistant Principals Zindy Wilfong and Caine Houser are providing leadership at the school while the district works to name an interim principal. Hefner has served as principal since 2019.
The district will also begin the process of hiring a permanent principal. “Our priority is to support Maiden High School’s students and staff and provide stability during this transition,” said Superintendent Matt Stover. “We appreciate the dedication of the school’s leadership team and will share an update when an interim principal is named.”
