RALEIGH, N.C. – Mike Sundheim, Vice President of Communications for the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has reached a multi-year distribution agreement to provide the newly-created Hurricanes Hockey Network to Spectrum customers throughout the Hurricanes’ regional territory. Hurricanes Hockey Network, which will air the team’s pre-game, post-game and live game telecasts, will be available on Spectrum prior to the network’s first regular-season game on October 2.
“This is a vital agreement for Hurricanes Hockey Network, ensuring our games will be available on the biggest cable distributor in our region,” said Sundheim. “We will continue to expand accessibility to Hurricanes Hockey Network for our fans as we head toward the start of the season.”
Hurricanes Hockey Network will be carried on Spectrum via the same plans as the team’s previous rightsholder, FanDuel Sports Network. The Hurricanes’ television territory includes all of North Carolina and South Carolina as well as most of Georgia and parts of Alabama. Channel locations will be announced when available.
Spectrum will be one of multiple ways to watch the Hurricanes during the 2026-27 season. The team previously announced that Hurricanes Hockey Network will be available streaming direct-to-consumer as a subscription on Prime Video for fans throughout the Hurricanes’ regional territory. Details regarding additional distribution partners will be announced prior to the start of the regular season.
Fans outside of the Carolina Hurricanes television territory can continue to watch games with NHL Power Play on the ESPN App or NHL Center Ice.
