Nine suspects are facing felony drug charges including conspiracy as a result of a six-month, multi-agency investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine and fentanyl in Iredell and Alexander Counties.
Narcotics Investigators with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, along with investigators from the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office, special agents with the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation and federal agencies began the investigation in January.
Undercover investigators purchased narcotics directly from individuals involved in the sale of methamphetamine or fentanyl and facilitated sales using confidential informants, Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell said in a news release.
Officers seized over 440 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 10 grams of powdered fentanyl, and 200 suspected fentanyl pills with a combined street value of over $25,000, the sheriff said.
The following suspects have been charged:
Ashley Nicole Clarke, age 29 of Harmony. Bond $20,000.
William Joseph McCurdy, age 30 of Statesville. Bond $30,000
Madison Elizabeth Uptain, age 21 of Rowan County. Bond $10,000
Bradley Montana Reavis, age 27 of Statesville. Bond $300,000
Christopher Todd Matheny, age 49 of Statesville. Currently in State Prison
Russell Javon Linney, age 33 of Statesville. Bond $209,000
Charges are pending for the following suspects who remain at large
Nickolas Aaron Whitson, age 30 of Harmony
Tiffany Amber Power, age 26 of Statesville
Eugenio Mata Carbajal, age 30 of Statesville
