Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Charge Man With Felony Statutory Sex Offense

According to a release from the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office a report was filed regarding a juvenile who had been receiving sexually explicit text messages from an adult male. The suspect was identified as 61-year old Charles Timothy Browne.

The investigation determined that Browne had sexually assaulted the juvenile within the past year.

Browne was arrested on April 23rd and charged with two counts of felony indecent liberties with a child and felony statutory sex Offense.

The suspect was placed in the Iredell County Detention Center without bond.

Browne was Federally Convicted in 2019 for cyberstalking and sentenced to 43 months in prison. This charge came after Browne sent over 700 harassing and intimidating text messages.
