On Friday, November 7th, Samantha Nicole Freeman, age 35 of Hiddenite, was served arrest warrants for felony possession of controlled substance on jail premises, felony altering or destroying criminal evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was nearing completion of a 90-day sentence in the Alexander County Detention Center for felony probation violation. Freeman remains in custody with bond set at $20,000.
