Julius Quinton Carson, age 25 of Hickory, was arrested overnight by the Hickory Police Department. He’s charged with felony second degree kidnapping, felony first-degree forcible sex offense, felony robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony larceny and possession of a firearm by a felon. Carson is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center under a secured bond of $360,000. An initial court appearance is scheduled for today in Newton.
