29-year-old John Markel Gaither Jr. of Hickory was arrested Wednesday, May 24th by Probation & Parole Officers in Catawba County. He’s charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, going armed to terror of people, discharge a firearm in the city, and parole violation. Gaither was incarcerated in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $20,000 bond. A District Court date is scheduled for June 15.
