39-year-old Anwar Vanchass Powell of 2nd Street Place SE in Hickory was arrested Friday, September 6th by Hickory Police Officers. He’s charged with three counts of first-degree arson, felony larceny of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen motor vehicle. Powell was confined in the Catawba County Detention Facility without bond. A District Court date was scheduled for Monday.
