Iredell Health System has opened a physical therapy clinic, Iredell Rehab at Taylorsville, inside its Family Care Center of Taylorsville.
Bob Farmer is the clinic’s physical therapist. Farmer holds a bachelor of health science and certificate of physical therapy from the University of Delaware.“I’ve been serving the people of this community as a physical therapist for nine years,” Farmer said. “I love this community and enjoy serving the people here. Iredell Health System’s values line up with my values as far as providing service to patients and taking care of people.”
The clinic is open Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Darren Smith, the Health System’s director of rehabilitation services, highlighted the importance of the Health System growing into neighboring Alexander County.“Overall, expanding our services beyond Iredell County is important and goes with our vision of helping guide our neighbors to optimal health,” Smith said.
Patients wishing to receive physical therapy at the Taylorsville clinic can request a referral from their practitioner or contact the clinic directly, which can then reach out to the patient’s provider. The clinic’s phone number is 828-635-3158.
“The transition has gone smoothly and been a good thing for staff and patients,” Farmer said. “I’ve had excellent support from Darren and the Iredell Health System staff.”
