Cougar Hoop Teams Lose Friday In Tournament

Alexander Central’s Basketball teams will play today in games for third place in the Dick’s Sporting Goods Classic in Hickory.

Friday Women’s Semi-Final

Hickory 54
ACHS 12

Hickory led 33-0 at the half as the Lady Cougars went 0-17 from the field. Alexander Central will face Bunker Hill in the third place game at 4pm today.

Men’s Friday Semi-Final

Maiden 55
ACHS 41

Cougras fall to 6-3 on the season with loss to undefeated Maiden. Jem Lowrance had 12 points and 11 rebounds to lead AC. They will play Newton -Conover today at 5:30 for third place in the tournament.
