Burke County Man Charged With Burning School Busses

27-year old Devin Harlan Clark of Connelly Springs was arrested Sunday, November 17 by the Burke County Sheriff’s Office and charged with two felony counts of burning personal property and one felony count of burning of a school house.

On Sunday, shortly after midnight, Burke County Deputies responded to Icard Elementary School. Two buses had been set on fire. Some fire damage was also done due the structure.

Security footage positively identified Clark as the suspect in the fires. At approximately 3:40 a.m. Sunday, Clark returned to his residence, and Deputies took him into custody without incident. He was given a $75,000 secured bond. A court date was scheduled Monday.
