Burke County Man Arrested On Rape Charge

47-year-old Wesley Andrew Neece of Cobbs Place in Connelly Springs was arrested Thursday by Burke County Sheriff’s Deputies. He’s charged with one felony count of first-degree forcible sex offense, two felony counts of second-degree forcible rape, and one misdemeanor count of sexual battery.

Neece was arrested at his residence without incident shortly after midnight Thursday morning. The warrants are dated November 17, 2023.

Following Thursday’s arrest, Neece was brought to the Burke County Jail where he was incarcerated without bond. He remained in jail as of earlier today and was still being held under no bond. A Superior Court appearance is scheduled for February 26 in Morganton.
