A man is facing charges related to a shooting incident that dates back to October in the Wittenburg Community.
20-year old Mathew Hunter Clark of Spencer, N.C. was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center on Tuesday for a failure to appear on a charge of assault by pointing a gun. According to Major Jason Moore of the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office, Clark was a passenger in a vehicle that was struck with gunfire on October 7th at a location off Fox Hollow Court. Clark suffered a non life-threatening gunshot wound in the incident. He was later charged with assault by pointing a gun. He is also charged with felony manufacture-sell-deliver marijuana. Clark is being held under a secured bond of $7,000.Previous arrests related to what Sheriff Chris Bowman called at the time, “A drug deal gone bad.”
20-year old Carl Anthony Montgomery of Taylorsville was charged with one count of felony Conspiracy to Sell/Deliver Schedule VI Controlled Substance, one count of felony Conspiracy to Shoot into an Occupied Vehicle, two counts of felony Conspiracy to Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill/Inflict Serious Injury. 20-year old Dakota Lee Norton of Taylorsville was charged with one count of felony Sell/Deliver Schedule VI Controlled Substance, one count of felony Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle, two counts of felony Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill/Inflict Serious Injury. Another Taylorsville man was charged in relation to the incident. 29-year old Christopher Lashone Fox of Taylorsville was charged with felony possession of marijuana, and felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/ place for controlled substance.Photos: Alexander County Sheriff’s Office
