Two people have been shot and three suspects have been charged in what Alexander County Sheriff Chris Bowman is calling a “narcotics deal that went bad.”
Around 11am, Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies, Taylorsville Police, the North Carolina Highway Patrol, Alexander Rescue, and Alexander County EMS responded to a location off Fox Valley Drive in the Wittenburg Community. A male and a female had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The male subject was struck four times and the female twice. Their wounds were non-life threatening, and both have been released from area hospitals.
