Alexander Softball Wins. Lady Cougar Soccer Blanks Freedom

Taylorsville: The visitors from Charlotte proved to be pesky but Alexander Central wins over Ardrey Kell on Wednesday.

The game was knotted at one after two innings. In the third, AC would plate the go-ahead run. They added two in the 4th and single runs in the 5th and 6th.

Kyla Hamby went 3-4 scoring 3 runs and having an rbi. Kensley Davis went 3-4 with a rbi. Kirstyn Herman had a pair of hits and she knocked-in a run.

Laney Wike got the win going the final 4.2 innings.

The Lady Cougars (20-4) will host Charlotte Providence in Round II on Friday.
