Brown remains in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $175,000. Her next court date is scheduled for March 21st.
Alexander County Sheriff’s Office Detectives were contacted by Investigators with the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office in reference to an individual living in Newton who had admitted to engaging in sexual acts with his ex-girlfriend’s juvenile daughter. The acts took place over a period of time dating from 2012 to 2016. The individual, identified as 44-year old Colan Lewis Swink, was living in Taylorsville with the victims mother, Tammy Brown during the time period when these offenses occurred.
Swink remains in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $5 million. He’s charged with 25 counts of felony statutory rape, 25 counts of felony sex Offenses and 109 counts of felony sex acts by a substitute parent/custodian.
