Alexander County Couple Detained After Traffic Stop

A Hiddenite couple was arrested on Tuesday following a traffic stop by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office.

Nathaniel Eugene Frey, age 37 and 35-year old Jessica A. Connor were taken into custody.

Frey is charged with felony possession of fentanyl, felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and providing false information to law enforcement. He is being held in the Alexander County Detention under a secured bond of $25,000.

Connor was charged with possession of stolen goods and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was jailed under a secured bond of $5,000.

Both suspects remain in custody as of earlier today. Frey and Connor are scheduled to make court appearances on Monday in Taylorsville.
