Alexander County 911 Call Reports Two Subjects In Water After Boat Overturns

The following information has been released by Alexander County Sheriff Chad Pennell

On Friday March 29th, at around 5:51 pm, the Alexander County 911 center received a call reporting a boat overturned, with subjects in the water near the dam off Teague Town Road.

Bethlehem Fire and Rescue responded to find that both men were out of the water. The subjects involved were William Brewer and Billy Bolick of Taylorsville. Brewer had left Bolick to get help. During that time Bolick became disoriented and left the scene.

Numerous other Emergency Service Agencies responded to the scene to assist in the search for the missing person. Bolick was located and transported to a local hospital by Alexander County EMS.

Bethlehem Fire and Rescue, Alexander County Rescue Squad, Alexander County Emergency Management, Alexander County EMS, North Carolina Wildlife, Caldwell County Emergency Services, North Carolina Adult Corrections, Taylorsville Police Department, and Alexander County Sheriff’s Office all assisted in the search.
