The team competed in the Gameday division. This division takes aspects of sideline cheerleading and makes it a competitive sport. The routine consists of band chant, an offense or defensive chant that is decided on the spot, cheer and fight song. AC put on an amazing performance coming home with their 2nd consecutive state championship in the Large Varsity Non tumble Gameday D1 division.
This is the team’s 4th 1st place finish of the season. They hope to continue their success in Orlando, Florida for the National High School Cheerleading Championship February 9th-12th. This is the first time competing in the national competition in the illustrious history of ACHS cheer.
The 2023 ACHS Cheer Team is coached by Kelie Huffman, Mindy Severt and Autumn Roberts
