Catawba Valley Easter Baseball Classic Tournament Begins Monday

The 32nd Annual Catawba County Easter Baseball Classic will be held next week at the Hickory American Legion Fairgrounds. The tournament will run April 1 through April 3. The tournament started in 1991 and has been played at fairgrounds every year.

This year’s tournament will feature five Catawba County teams, Bunker Hill, Fred T. Foard, Hickory, Newton Conover, and St. Stephens. Also back are Alexander Central, Hibriten, West and Lincoln. Alexander Central will attempt to defend their 2023 championship.

There will be four games on Monday and Tuesday at 11:00 AM, 1:30 PM, 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM. On Wednesday April 3rd there will be two games, the third-place game will be played at 4:00 PM, and the championship game is scheduled for 6:30 PM.

Admission is $7.00 per day, for ages 7 and above. 6 and under will be admitted free. No passes are accepted for this tournament.
