Alexander County Rape Investigation Results In 20-30 Year Prison Term

March 20, 2024 By Richard C. Gilbert

Julius Santez Williams

In Alexander County Superior Court on Monday, Julius Santez Williams, age 38 of Boonville, entered a plea that will send him to State Prison for 20-30 years.

Williams was identified as a suspect in a 2020 rape and home invasion in Alexander County.

Williams was taken into custody in Catawba County on October 16th, 2020. He was spotted in Monroe earlier in the day but was able to elude officers on foot.

The charges stem from a home invasion in which an elderly female was sexually assaulted on July 19, 2020 at a residence in the Hiddenite Community of Alexander County. The victim told investigators she was asleep in her bed and was awakened by a man hitting her in the face and strangling her.

In October of 2020, after receiving a D.N.A. match that identified Williams, the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office announced that Williams was wanted on charges of Felony First Degree Rape, Felony First Degree Burglary, Felony First Degree Kidnapping, and Felony Assault Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury.

Williams was sentenced to a total of 240-360 (20-30 years) months of active prison time.

Williams has a long criminal history and is a registered sex-offender who has been convicted for indecent liberties with a minor multiple times involving multiple victims.
