Woman Injured After Car Crashes Into North Wilkesboro Doctor’s Office

A car crashed into a doctor’s office in Wilkes County on Monday, it left a woman inside the building with serious injuries.

Around 11am, a car crashed into Riverside Medical Associates on 13th Street in North Wilkesboro. A msn, said to be 77-years old was attempting to park and accidentally crashed his vehicle into the front entrance.

49-year old Lee Ann Triplett was struck while sitting in the lobby. Emergency crews freed Triplett from under the auto. She was taken to Wilkes Medical Center and later airlifted to Wake Forest University Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

Extensive damage was done to the building. No serious injuries were reported to driver of the car.
