Newton Man Charged With Forcible Rape

The Hickory Police Department has charged a man with felony forcible rape.

Benjamin Medina, age 41, West F Street, Newton, was arrested on Friday and charged with felony second-degree forcible rape, two-counts of felony second-degree forcible sexual offense and sexual battery.

Medina is being held without bond in the Catawba County Detention Center.
