Woman Charged With Two Hit And Run Deaths In Wilkes County

The Wilkesboro Police Department has arrested a woman and charged her with two hit and run deaths. The bodies of a man and a woman were found Sunday beneath the Curtis Bridge Road bridge over the Yadkin River.

43-year old Kelly Diane Snapp of Wilkesboro was taken into custody Tuesday evening. Snapp faces two counts of felonious hit and run resulting in the deaths of Stephanie Lynn Chahoy, 40, and Chase Eugene Crawford, 35, both of North Wilkesboro. The car believed to have been involved in the hit and run was located and seized by investigtors.

Snapp is being held in the Wilkes County Jail without bond. More charges are anticipated.
