Woman Charged In Alexander County Meth Bust Now Free On Bond

One of two women charged last week after Alexander County Deputies found almost a half-pound of meth during a traffic-stop is now free on bond.

On Monday, 49-year-old Kandra Vang of Chaucher LN, Granite Falls was released under a secured bond of $500,000. She was apprehended on June 25th along with 37-year-old Mai See Hang , of 9th Street SW Conover. Some 201 grams of methamphetamine was found in the car the suspects were operating on Hubbard Road.

Vang is charged with

2 counts of Felony Trafficking Methamphetamine
Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Methamphetamine
Felony Maintain Vehicle for Controlled Substance
Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia ️
Misdemeanor Driving While License Revoked
Driving Left of Center

Also on Monday, Mai See Hang was served a Catawba County warrant for felony probation violation.

She’s facing 2 counts of Felony Trafficking Methamphetamine
Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Methamphetamine
Felony Maintain Vehicle for Controlled Substance
Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Hang remains in custody with bond now listed at $520,000.
