Wilkes Central High School has forfeited a varsity football win and two junior varsity victories. The forfeits were self-reported by the school when it was learned that a player participated in the games had an expired physical.
The violations were forwarded to the North Carolina High School Athletic Association. The Eagles varsity win over Surry Central on August 31st, won by Wilkes Central 49-6, will now be recognized as a loss. It drops the record for Wilkes Central from 5-6 to 4-7. Junior varsity games against Surry Central and West Wilkes were also forfeited.
