The victim of a fatal shooting Tuesday night in Lenoir has been identified as 46-year-old Douglas Antonio Burgess of Lenoir. Burgess was found shot to death in his vehicle.
Deputies with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office responded to a address on Harpertown Drive in Lenoir. Upon arrival, Deputies found a vehicle occupied by a man who was deceased, apparently as a result of gunshot wounds.
Investigators have developed a person of interest and are currently attempting to locate the individual for questioning. The person of interest has not been identified.
