Two Additional COVID-19 Associated Deaths Reported In Alexander County

November 24, 2020 By Richard C. Gilbert

The Alexander County Health Department staff have been encouraged by the state to utilize the dashboard numbers as a more efficient method to keep the public informed of COVID-19 numbers. The tests are coming in rapidly, but also sporadically, so there is no sure way to get accurate numbers. While this method will provide data that the state has released, it will not include quarantined or recovered data for the county, so we will no longer post this information.

Currently, Alexander County has a total of 1,498 confirmed cases and 15 deaths.

The Alexander County Health Department is conducting COVID-19 drive-thru testing clinics on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with the exception of November 27. If you need to be tested, contact the health department at 828-632-9704 to make an appointment.
