Teen Charged With Statutory Rape Makes Court Appearance Today In Taylorsville

A teen arrested last week and charged with statutory rape is scheduled for an initial court appearance today in Taylorsville.

19-year old Jancovien Daquion Peterson of Lincolnton was arrested by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday,November 24th . Peterson was charged with felony statutory rape of a victim 15 or younger. He remains in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $250,000.
