Hickory Police arrested 27-year old Jacob Mark Gwaltney of Taylorsville on Wednesday and charged him with felony possession of schedule I controlled substance and driving while impaired. He is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center as of this morning under a secured bond of $7,000. He is set to make a court appearance today in Newton.
