Statesville Man Charged With 14 Counts Of Felony Indecent Liberties With A Child

On December 5th, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office received a report of two juvenile females having been inappropriately touched while they were staying overnight at a family member’s home.

An investigation by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office led to a suspect, 21-year old Jerediah Omar Mendoza of Stattesville. Based on his statement, and other evidence which had been gathered through the investigation, 14 Arrest Warrants for Felony Indecent Liberties with a Child were filed.

Mendoza is being held in the Iredell County Detention Center under a $1 million dollar secured bond.

This investigation is still ongoing and additional charges could be filed.
