Shelby Woman Charged With Murder Of Hickory Man

A woman has been charged in the death of a 72-year-old Robert Godfrey of Hickory. Godfrey’s body was found at Preston Ridge Apartments last weekend. The apartment complex is located off Startown Road.

22-year old Bryana Salymar Martines of Shelby is charged with first-degree murder and possession of a stolen motor vehicle. She is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center without bond.
