North Wilkesboro Man Charged After Stabbing Incident

A Wilkes County man is in custody after allegedly stabbing a male subject multiple times and assaulting a female.

Marcus Lloyd Anderson, age 37 of North Wilkesboro is charged with felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor assault according to the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office.

Wilkes County Deputies responded on Friday, September 1st to a location off Cora Caudill Road in the Mullberry Community. Officers and Wilkes EMS located a male victim suffering multiple stab wounds. A female was also located at the scene suffering injures as well. The male is listed as a patient at a regional medical facility. The female was treated and released for head injuries.

Anderson is being held in the Wilkes County Detention Facility under a secured bond of $500,000. The investigation is ongoing.
