North Meck 54 Alexander Central 50
Alexander Central saw their season end Thursday evening in Huntersville falling to North Meck in Round II of the State Playoffs.
The Lady Cougars trailed 32-23 at the half and still were down 41-32 at the end of the third quarter before they closed to within the final score of 54-50.
North was 16-21 from the free throw line while Alexander Central attempted just 4 with 3 makes.
The host Vikings had four players score in double figures led by Kairah Dixon Booker with 12.
Meredith Wike completed a standout freshman season with 18 points and senior Sydney Hayes ended her ACHS career with 17 including 5 of 7 from beyond the three-point arc.
North Meck is 26-2 while the Lady Cougars finish at 20-8.
