Taylorsville Man Listed On Registered Sex-Offender List Arrested On Friday

On Friday, February 27th, the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office arrested Casey Ryan Shumake, age 39, of Taylorsville. He’s charged with felony being a registered sex-offender failing to report an address change and parole violation.

Shumake was convicted in 2024 on charges of indecent liberties with a minor in Alexander County. He served 7 months in prison.
