Morganton Man Arrested After Chase In Stolen Vehicle

21-year-old Justin Wayne Hatley of West Union Street in Morganton was arrested Tuesday by authorities in Catawba County. He’s charged with felony counts of flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, larceny of a motor vehicle, and possession of a stolen motor vehicle. In addition, Hatley is charged with misdemeanor counts of assault with a deadly weapon, sexual battery, injury to personal property, and hit and run, leave the scene with property damage.

Hatley was confined in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $24,000 bond.

He’s scheduled to appear in court today in Newton.
