More Charges Filed In Wilkesboro Hit And Run Deaths

More charges have been filed against a Wilkesboro woman arrested Tuesday evening on two counts of felonious hit and run resulting in death.

Kelly Diane Snapp, 43, is now also charged with two counts of felony death by vehicle. Wilkesboro Police filed the new charges after consultation with the district attorney’s office on Wednesday.

Snapp is charged in connection with the deaths of Stephanie Lynn Chahoy, 40, and Chase Eugene Crawford, 35, both of North Wilkesboro. Their bodies were found Sunday under the Curtis Bridge Road bridge over the Yadkin River.

Snapp remains in the Wilkes County Jail with a $500,000 bond.

The vehicle believed to be involved in the hit and run has been located and seized.
