Mocksville Man Arrested By Alexander County Sheriff’s Office

34-year old Matthew Cole Chapman, age 34 of Mockville, was arrested Thursday, June 29th by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office and served with warrants for failure to appear. In May, Chapman was charged with with possession of schedule III controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $15,000. As of earlier today, Chapman was no longer in custody. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 17th.

Chapman has a number of other charges pending Alexander County that include driving with license revoked.
