A Granite Falls man is being held without bond after being arrested on Monday on a charge of felony second-degree forcible rape. Stephen Floyd Kight, age 35 of Meadowlane DR., Granite Falls is also charged by the Conover Police Department with felony contaminating food or drink. According to arrest documentation the alleged incident occurred on Friday, August 28th at Hines Park in Conover. The suspect is scheduled for Catawba County Superior Court on Tuesday, September 1st.
